Disconnect
power to the washer (or unplug it). Turn off both hot and cold water lines
at the wall shut off valve. |
|
This is a
two port pump. The top port, with the action of the impeller
turning counterclockwise, forces the water back into the tub and basket.
When the washer goes into spin, the impeller turns clockwise, drawing the
water through the top port, through the pump, and then out the bottom port
to drain. |
